Palo Pinto County ESD-1 Marks Milestone with First Full Year of Call Data Tracking

PALO PINTO COUNTY, Texas (Sept. 7, 2025) – Palo Pinto County Emergency Services District No. 1 (ESD1) has reached a major milestone with the completion of its first full year of structured call data tracking and operational analytics.

From August 1, 2024 through July 31, 2025, ESD1 recorded 916 total calls for service across its 10 fire departments. The data, collected through the district’s new ESRI software platform, allows the district to classify and analyze the types of emergencies local crews are responding to.

“This is a big step forward for us as a county,” said ESD1 Fire Chief Danny Watkins.

“Now we can measure what our departments are facing and plan more effectively for the future.“

Watkins said the information will help guide future planning and resource allocation as the district continues to strengthen fire protection and emergency response across Palo Pinto County.

A full breakdown of all 916 calls shows the range of emergencies handled by ESD-1 crews.

Notably, 53.71% of calls occurred between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

A full printed report of the 12-month call volume and incident type distribution will be presented at the next ESD1 Board Meeting on September 17, 2025.
